‘In Time Of’ has connected with the Sustainable Ecological Ethical Development Foundation (SEED), inviting a group of local farmers to host a farmer’s market and multiple farmhouse workshops at our rooftop farm (The Deck) on 10th, 11th, 21st of July and 1st, 21st, 22nd of August. They would be giving advice on how to select the best locally grown crop products. By interacting with them directly, you could also explore the diverse applications of crops and investigate the significance of ‘only consuming seasonal foods’.
“The Yellow Pages for Local Farmers”, the first local farming guidebook of its kind in Hong Kong, was recently published by The Hong Kong Farming 3.0. A new book sharing session would be held on 1st August at The Mills. The Farming 3.0 team, as well as Angus and Fiona, the President and the Vice Researcher of SEED, would be sharing the background and purpose of publishing the book, meanwhile to discuss the realities of the farming industry and some challenges encountered by farmers. Mr Fu Wai Cheong, a local farmer, would be introducing winter melons, one of the seasonal crops in Summer, with respect to different species of them and best ways of cooking them during the ‘Farmer Q & A Section’.
